At present, PZK BRNO company has four laboratories in total at its disposal. These laboratories focus mainly on permanent magnets testing and on testing of the products with permanent magnets.
- The accredited laboratory according to ISO 17025.
- The operations laboratory designed for magnetizing and complex verification of the parameters of all magnet supplies before they are sent to customers.
- The laboratory for special tests equipped for testing of the magnets with non-standard shapes at temperatures ranging from -40 ⁰C to + 220 ⁰C, measuring the torque of the magnetic coupling, testing the forces of magnetic attraction and repulsion, measuring the magnetic field on surfaces of magnets and on surfaces of rotors with permanent magnets, measuring the corrosion resistance in a salt spray chamber, measuring the mechanical properties of magnets, measuring the strength of the bonded joints of magnets, measuring the characteristics of the resistance of thermal sensors.
- The laboratory in the city of Ningbo (China), where our Chinese representatives, who were trained in PZK BRNO, perform control tests of the basic parameters of the produced magnets before they are sent to Brno. The laboratory is equipped for measuring the magnetic parameters, the corrosion resistance test (HAST), and the temperature stability test.
PZK BRNO is the only accredited laboratory in Europe testing the permanent magnets according to ISO17025.
Accreditation is applicable to the following standards:
a) EN 60404-5, 60404-14 and ASTM A977/A977M-07 (B-H curve measurement)
b) EN 60404-14 (Magnetic dipole moment measurement)
We perform the measurement of magnetic properties of all current magnetically hard materials (NdFeB, SmCo, ferrite magnets, AlNiCo, plasto-magnets). Our most modern equipment allows us to perform measurements of standard and complex shapes at temperatures ranging from -40 ° C to + 220 ° C. When measuring the B-H curve by a pulse method, we achieve the intensity of the magnetic field up to 5000kA/m. For measuring the surface induction of the multipole solids of revolution we use an automated scanner.
Our laboratory has at its disposal the equipment for corrosion resistance testing at different temperatures and relative humidity (HAST, PCT, ASTM A1081 / A1071M - 11) and for salt spray testing (SST, ASTM B117-16) according to EN ISO 9227.
It is with high accuracy that we verify the dimensions of the supplied products using the ZEISS coordinate measuring machine. With the aid of Tinius Olsen tensile testing machine we perform bending tests and bonded joint tests according to EN ISO 13445, EN 1465.
